FIFE FAQ suggestions
« on: October 23, 2009, 01:52:38 pm »

I've been browsing the FIFE Wiki trying to come up with outdated pages and noticed the FAQ found here:  http://wiki.fifengine.net/Frequently_answered_questions.  It's WAY out of date and is in need of some attention.

I'm looking for suggestions for questions that I could post to the FAQ.  Dont worry about the answers at the moment.  Right now I'm worried about building a good list of questions that pertain to FIFE and will help give users a good understanding of what FIFE is and what it can do.  I'd like to keep the questions related to the engine itself as to attract more projects to use FIFE.

Some examples might be:

What does FIFE stand for?
What is FIFE?
What platforms does FIFE run on?
What language if FIFE written in?
Does FIFE have any scripting support?
What scripting languages does FIFE support?
What license is FIFE released under?
Can I use FIFE to make a commercial product?
What other projects are using FIFE?
How far along is FIFE in it's development cycle?
How stable is FIFE?
How can I distribute a FIFE based product?
What features does FIFE provide?
Are you still adding more features?

Thats all I can come up with for the moment.  If you have any other suggestions let me know here!!   Thanks

That is a good starting list. Answering those questions i think will definitely address a lot of the frequent questions we see in irc.

I've updated the FAQ.  I'm not complete but it's a good start.  Check it out and feel free to modify it if you see any errors.

Can I use square or hex tiles just as easily as isometric tiles?
