Can't compile fifengine on Mac OS X 10.8.5
« on: November 21, 2013, 08:41:08 pm »

Hey, guys~
    I think I have "configure, make and install" all the dependencies. However, when I scons fifengine, it failed.
Code: [Select]
scons: done reading SConscript files.
scons: Building targets ...
o build/engine/release/swigwrappers/python/ -python -c++ -w511 engine/swigwrappers/python/fifechan.i
sh: o: command not found
g++ -o build/engine/release/swigwrappers/python/py_fifechan_wrap.os -c -DUSE_COCOA -O2 -Wall -Wno-unused -fPIC -DTIXML_USE_STL -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -D_THREAD_SAFE -DNDEBUG -DHAVE_OPENGL -DHAVE_ZIP -DLOG_ENABLED -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11/include -I/usr/local/include/SDL -I/usr/local/include/fifechan -I/usr/local/include/boost -I/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenAL.framework/Headers -I/usr/local/include/vorbis -I/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/include/python2.7 -Iengine/core build/engine/release/swigwrappers/python/
g++: error: build/engine/release/swigwrappers/python/ No such file or directory
g++: fatal error: no input files
compilation terminated.
scons: *** [build/engine/release/swigwrappers/python/py_fifechan_wrap.os] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.

    It's quite strange. It seems that the first "g++ -o" is transformed into "o". I googled it. Someone said that it might be some problems with gcc/g++. But after I installed a new updated gcc/g++ and redirect the default g++ to the new one, it still failed with the same error. I wonder if anyone can help me?
    My system information is Mac OS X 10.8.5, Xcode 5.0.2, scons 2.3.0, python 2.7.2, g++ 4.9.0.

    I somehow followed the guideline of ,but I didn't use homebrew. It seems that it works well in OS X 10.7. Anybody knows who have succeeded in OS X 10.8?

    Hope for your help!
    Many Thanks!

Do you have swig installed and in your path?
