Title: Considering using FIFE engine for making a tactical RPG
Post by: Spleenling on September 08, 2014, 10:33:30 pm
Me and my friend are making a open world TRPG, using a ruleset based on a Pen and Paper RPG we are making.
A major part of what we want to do revolves around use of randomly generated terrain and underground complexes.
Preferably a way to implement flying units capable of hovering, this is not vital though, just cool.
We also need the capacity to make Units that take up multiple tiles I.E 1x2, 2x2.

from what i have seen FIFE could be the platform we need to make this game a reality

Hi Spleenling,
I also think FIFE can meet your needs.
Unknown Horizons use randomly generated maps, an example of MultiCell Units is part of tests/fife_tests.
